What is IOIS?

International Platform

IOIS is an international competition open to secondary school students from any country. Showcase your innovation on a global stage and be judged by an international panel of experts.

Video-Based Submission

Participants submit a short innovation video via YouTube. Your video must demonstrate your innovation, explain the problem it solves, and show its impact on society.

Innovations are judged across 6 thematic categories aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and real-world challenges relevant to your community.

Rules & Video Requirements

📋 Eligibility

  • Open to all secondary school students worldwide
  • Maximum 5 members per team
  • Each team may submit only one (1) entry

🎥 Video Requirements

  • Duration: 3 – 5 minutes
  • Upload to YouTube as Unlisted
  • Language: English

💡 What Your Video Must Cover

  • Problem statement — what issue are you solving?
  • Your innovation — what is your solution?
  • Demonstration — show your innovation in action
  • Impact — how does it benefit society?

🚫 Content Restrictions

  • No plagiarism or copied innovations
  • No offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content
  • Submissions must be original work

All videos must be presented in English. This ensures your innovation can be understood and fairly evaluated by our international panel of judges.
No — your innovation can be a physical product, a software app, a process improvement, or even a concept with a working prototype or model. What matters is that it solves a real problem.
Go to youtube.com, sign in, click the camera icon at the top right and select "Upload video". Set visibility to Unlisted (accessible only via link — keeps your submission confidential until results are announced). Copy the video link and paste it in the submission form.
